More than 3/4 of them didn't have access to technology, so teachers were scrambling to make packets. Some of our kids and families were homeless...were we really going to give them an F or incomplete credit if they didn't finish a worksheet? Our teachers weren't provided laptops until several weeks in, thanks to a grant. It was a MESS. Our last "kid" day was yesterday, and what a wild ride it's been. I'm trying to get our org better prepared for another stay-at-home order for fall, but I'm outnumbered again, others don't think that's going to happen. So being prepared for the possibility is...bad? We also *just* got chromebooks for our kids. Sigh. At least we'll have them for fall.
